AIR QUALITY RULES
FEDERAL LEGISLATION
TRIBAL LEGISLATION
The Air Quality Program has developed a set of regulations for air pollution sources. These regulations are known as the Air Quality Management Plan (AQMP). Once the AQMP was approved by EPA, the Community became the first Tribe in the Country with a comprehensive set of air regulations. The AQMP also allows the Program to conduct compliance inspections and take enforcement actions to correct the issues, if needed.
The Complete Copy of AQMP is divided into seven parts:
- Part I - General Provisions
- Part II - Permit Requirements
- Part III - Enforcement Ordinances
- Part IV - Administrative Appeals
- Part V - Section 1.0 - Open Burning
- Part V - Section 2.0 - Fugitive Dust
- Part VI - Section 1.0 - Visible Emissions
- Part VI - Section 2.0 - Volatile Organic Compounds
- Part VI - Section 3.0 - Solvent Use
- Part VII - Section 1.0 - Secondary Aluminum Processing
- Part VII - Section 2.0 - Aerospace Manufacturing
- Part VII - Section 3.0 - Aggregate Processing
